As part of the first component of the DEEP Project "Exploration of Potential in Türkiye In The Context of EU Circular Economy", a survey and institutional visit program have started in Istanbul, following the survey and institutional visit program for stakeholders in Ankara.

While the priority is given to the institutions from the public sector during the institutional visits in Ankara, mainly stakeholders from the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and universities are visited during the institutional visits in Istanbul.

Before the institutional visits, the surveys prepared to assess the current situation of the stakeholders in terms of circular economy strategy and practices and to receive opinions and suggestions on Türkiye’s transition process and policies to the circular economy were shared with the relevant institution/organization and unit. After the surveys were answered by the stakeholders, the visits in İstanbul started on August 9, 2022.

The institutional visits that will continue until the end of August, aiming to increase the level of knowledge and awareness of the stakeholders on the concepts of "DEEP Project" and "circular economy” are carried out by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Circular Economy and Waste Management Department, Project Consortium Leader DAI and representatives of the Business Council for Sustainable Development Türkiye, one of the consortium partners.
