Kick-off meeting of the Technical Assistance for Assessment of Türkiye's Potential on Transition to Circular Economy (DEEP Project), which is the third act of the Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Program in the second term of IPA, and is being implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, General Directorate of Environment Management, was conducted.
There are the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change’s center and provincial organization personnel, waste management companies, municipalities, organized industrial zones, and non-governmental organizations included in the target group of the Project that is operated to prepare a Circular Economy Action Plan specific to our country and determining our country’s roadmap regarding the circular economy. It is aimed to strengthen the corporate and technical capacity of these groups with this project.
The total budget of the project that will continue for 36 months is approximately 3.2 million €, 85% of this amount is funded by the EU, and 15% is funded nationally.
