Circular Economy Training was held within the context of the Project between May 11th and 13th, 2022 at Antalya.

The training that was designed to share the practical examples about the circular economy from EU member countries to support the development of circular economy in Türkiye; was conducted hybrid with the face-to-face participation of the General Directorate of Environment Management, General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment Permission, and Audit, and Environmental Agency of Türkiye personnel while other related Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change units and representatives from other significant ministries participated to the meeting online.

The training that was conducted with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Environment and Urbanization Expert Ms. Ece Dinsel and DEEP Project Team Leader Mihail Dimovski as co-head; notions of “circular economy” were explained, and the latest initiatives on the field in the EU member countries and Türkiye were represented to the participant.

Also, the advantages and challenges of the circular economy in Türkiye were discussed during the training that the practical examples of the circular economy business models were handled, and the experiences and the best practices from the EU member countries, public and private sector for the sectors which have a high potential of circularity were shared.
