The European Commission has Announced that the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) Adopted Detailed Reporting Rules

On August 17, 2023, the European Commission adopted the rules and procedures for implementing the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) transitional period. The transition period will start on October 1, 2023, and continue until 2025.

The adopted Implementing Regulation sets out the transitional reporting obligations for CBAM products and the transitional methodology for calculating the embedded emissions released in the production process of these products.
